This post is late

I suck. But my parcel from Judds R'Us sure doesn't. She sent a lovely package of awesome gifties: they all came wrapped in the cute orange gingham bag. Ghirardelli chocolates (OMG they were so good!), a package of Hallowe'en gummies, a little notebook and ghosty pen, a cute little pocket mirror which will come in handy, a Jack O'Lantern plate and a little pair of bags for carrying around my sock knitting. So great, thanks so much!

Look at the Great Things I Got!

Yes, I know. This post is very late. In an attempt to do everything, I have managed, in the past few weeks, to accomplish next to nothing. So here's my "What took you so long?" Boo-ty Swap post.

Check out the great things I got from Rosanna. I am so loving the pumpkin (I have no clue how to crochet, so I stare at it in complete awe) and the cake pin cushion. I don't know how she knew, but I have been wanted a felt dessert for a very long time. Talk about being in Boo-ty heaven. And just when I thought my package couldn't get any better, I saw the fabric. Wonderful, earth-toned fabric. It is so beautiful that I don't want to use it -- I just like to look at it. I really love the packaging.

And the piece de resistance, the item that she bought for me -- Coke Bottle Salt & Pepper Shakers! Let me explain, I collect S&Ps -- the more original, the better, and these, well they definitely fill that bill. They are the coolest S&Ps ever -- they immediately moved to the front of the display in my kitchen so I can see them whenever I am in there. Love, love, love them!

So thank you Rosanna, so very very much!
P.S. I also got Halloween candy, but it's not in the picture because I ate it while opening my package. It was really tasty!!

Booty Has Arrived

I got my package from Delly this week and it was so much fun opening it. She sent me this gorgeous apron, and in the pockets were some beads that I can use to make a bracelet. She also sent some cute pumpkin earrings and Halloween stickers. I need to go and get some candles for the luminaries she sent. I can hardly wait to line my driveway with them tomorrow night. Thanks so Much Delly!!!!!

Boo-ty is in da house...

My Boo-ty Swap package from Robyn arrived today, and it is simply packed with goodness. As she said she sent more than required...way more!
Something Made: A darling scrabble earring and necklace made by her.
Something Stashy: zippers, fabric, thread and scissors.
Something to Eat: lots o Halloween candy, tea and gum.
Something Bought with your Person in mind: Pumpkin pincushion that a friend of hers made. Something Halloween: Practically all of it! Seriously, you could wear yourself out looking at all the nifty little things; a dichoric glass ring, lip balms, socks, Robyn's Nest magnet, candy corn, and a wide variety of Halloween gee-gaws - key chain, pumpkin tea light candles, treat bags with candy and toys, and witch's broom pen (cutest thing ever).
Robyn, you really went above and beyond, and I thank you for all of it! Super swap!

Ready, set, match!

So this year I thought I would do something different and have you swap with one person. I have put you in partners, so you send to the person who sends to you, and this way you can get to know each other a bit. Hopefully it will cut down on missing packages as well(and that isn't going to happen anyway, this year all will run smoothly!).

So I have emailed out the matches, please send a Hello email to your partners letting them know you are aware they exist, and post pictures on the blog when you get your packages.

I'll be sending out reminders so you don't get so caught up in the business of life, and no spook-tacular packages get forgotten.

Off we go!

Another year, another fear! (lame but it rhymes)

That's right all you freaks and geeks, Boo-ty Swap is back, the third installment is underway.

It's a Halloween - themed secret swap. The rules are thus, sign ups begin now and end October 3.
The match ups will be sent out the following week.

Boo-ty will be shipped to your Boo-ty Pal by October 17.
Delivery confirmation on packages sent within the US is strongly suggested.
I can't "make" you do it but for an extra $0.50 we can cut down on confusion over missed packages and hurt feelings. You can prove it was sent and received, and funnily enough I have only had packages without it go missing, and I have had packages I have sent disappear.

Back to the fun part!
It needs to include:
1. Something made.
2. Something stash-y.
3. Something to eat.
4. Something bought specifically with your person in mind.
5. And of course, something Halloween-y

There don't need to be 5 things in the box, you can mix it up if you want. Make some pumpkin cookies and tick three items off your list. But if you want to put 5 things in the that's fine, too.

"They're more guidelines, than rules." Open to anyone, you don't have to be knitter to join! Also remember, this is The Swap of Small Treasures-you want to give things that you treasure and that they will treasure. It's about a connection... you know, with your Boo-ty Pal. :)

So, if you would like to join The Boo-ty Swap email Boo-tyswap3@rochester.rr.com with:
- your name
- email
- blog address
- and snail mail address.

Trick or Treat!
